For Customers: Name, phone number, email, and precise GPS delivery addresses.
For Restaurants: Business licenses, menu data, bank details for payouts, and owner identification.
For Deliverymen: Identification documents, vehicle registration, and real-time GPS location tracking while active on the platform.
Automated Data: We collect IP addresses, device types, and "Cookies" (which you may opt out of) to improve site performance.
Order Fulfillment: Sharing customer addresses with restaurants and deliverymen to complete orders.
Safety & Security: Verifying identities to prevent fraud on the platform.
Communication: Sending order updates via SMS, Push Notifications, or the in-app Chatting System.
Improvements: Analyzing "Max Order" trends to help restaurants optimize their subscription plans.
We do not sell your data. We only share information with:
Payment Processors: To handle secure, non-refundable transactions.
Delivery Partners: Only the specific details needed to get food to a customer's door.
Legal Authorities: If required by the laws of Zanzibar or the United Republic of Tanzania.
Retention: We store your data as long as your account is active or as required for tax and legal audits.
Your Rights: Under the Act, you have the right to access your data, request corrections, or ask for the deletion of your account (subject to our non-refundable subscription terms).
To ensure delivery accuracy, our app collects background location data from Deliverymen and "Self-Delivery" restaurant staff. Customers can view this tracking only while their specific order is in progress.
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your information. However, no online service is 100% secure. While we strive to safeguard your data, Ostex Eats will not be held accountable in the event of a data breach or unauthorized access beyond our control. You use the service at your own risk.
